ACTIVE JEDI WORK
THE Conversation
Co-host and co-producer of THE Conversation on Falmouth Community Television. The program provides a timely dialogue on race with a local focus in an effort to open dialogue and work to educate our community on issues of racial justice.
This show was realized after a community member stood up during a Town Meeting and proclaimed, very confidently, that 'racism does not exist in Falmouth'. 😐
Woods Hole Partnership Education Program
Current Co-Director (2021), former Acting Director (2020) and former Program Coordinator (2011-2015). PEP "is a 10-week program designed primarily for college juniors and seniors from underrepresented groups in marine and ocean sciences who want to spend a summer gaining practical experience in marine and environmental science."
But, PEP is more - it is a network, a support system, a lifelong experience, a family.
I love PEP.
Woods Hole Diversity Advisory Committee
Co-Chair of the advisory committee who makes recommendations as to how the 6 scientific institutions in Woods Hole can make the village a more diverse & more inclusive community.
